Marble-Look Walk-In Shower with a Geometric Accent Wall in Chattanooga, TN

This Chattanooga walk-in shower pairs large marble-look wall tile with a geometric marble mosaic accent wall and a niche lined in black penny tile.

What We Built

• Large-format marble-look tile with warm gold veining on the side walls
• A geometric lattice mosaic across the upper back wall as the focal point
• A recessed niche framed with a metal edge and lined with black penny tile
• A dark shower floor with a gold-finish drain to match the veining
• A corner shelf set into the tile for extra storage

One focal point, not three

The accent mosaic only covers the back wall above the niche. Keeping the side walls simple lets the pattern stand out instead of competing with everything else in the shower.

Niches built in, not added on

A recessed niche has to be framed, waterproofed and tiled as part of the wall. Lining it with black penny tile turns a storage spot into a design detail that ties back to the dark floor.

Clean edges

The metal edge trim around the niche gives a crisp line where the penny tile meets the large-format tile, which matters most at eye level where everyone looks first.

What a Project Like This Costs

Walk-in tile showers from Palacios start at $3,600. Accent mosaics, niches and specialty trim are priced after we see your bathroom and the tile you pick.
